Located six miles west of the town of Lone Pine, CA, at 5,800 ft. elevation, this campground is seven miles from the popular Whitney Portal Recreation Area. The Whitney Portal National Recreation Trail begins at the west end of the campground. Other popular activities near the campground include hiking, exploring the Alabama Hills, and fishing. Firewood for sale at the campground. Vault toilets and bear food storage lockers available. Fees: Overnight Use: Group (Tent Only) Site: $81 per night
